Welcome To Bilingual Whiz Kidz Preschool

Cultivating The Bilingual Bi-literate Culturally Mindful Child
We are a Spanish-Chinese Language Immersion Preschool for ages twelve weeks through Kindergarten. We offer a child-led, discovery-based and inquiry-based approach to learning through the use of group studies and learning centers. We aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning by providing a friendly, caring and nurturing environment.

Through our Spanish-Chinese Immersion Program, children learn another language while learning through another language, thus achieving a strong academic foundation, cultural appreciation, and bilingual skillsets, all by age five. Our programs foster positive self-awareness, consciousness and empathy, and being fully present in the learning moment.

A Message from Our Director Monica Reid:

“Who knows what dreams our children will manifest because they can fluently speak, read, and write in the three most spoken languages in the world: Mandarin, Spanish and English.”

MISSION STATEMENT

Bilingual Whiz Kidz is committed to providing an outstanding Spanish-Chinese Language Immersion education, infants to age 5, within a safe and loving environment while cultivating the bilingual, bi-literate and culturally mindful child. Parents, preschool and community work in partnership to engage students in developing a global perspective and lifelong love of learning.

Why Our School

Children are truly loved here. Our teachers and families too. Our program is inclusive and cutting edge, immersing children in both Spanish and Chinese to cultivate the bilingual, biliterate, culturally mindful child. At Bilingual Whiz Kidz, we co-create with our families a joyful environment each day, fully present in each moment, instilling a lifelong love of learning and close community connection; just read our parent’s reviews. When children love their school and love themselves, they experience accelerated learning, a simple matter of biochemistry and the inspiration of heart. This is our forte, with our founder Mrs. Monica, inside the classrooms alongside her caring teachers within an impeccably clean and vibrantly decorated facility.

Our program excels in teaching early childhood skillsets and elementary school academic readiness, modeling the love of Latin culture and ancient spiritual wisdom Chinese traditions, all in one school. We feel honored and grateful to be entrusted with the care and education of your child.

Our Bilingual Whiz Kidz celebrated the Chinese New Year on Friday, February 12, 2021, welcoming the Year Of The Ox, as we welcome our new infant classroom students, who are Oxen. Of course, their celebration was done in the Mandarin language.

Our Bilingual Whiz Kidz read books about the Chinese New Year traditions, cleaned their classrooms to bring good fortune, ate homemade dumplings with chopsticks (a recipe from NE China), opened fortune cookies, played Dragon Dance on drums, and performed the Dragon Dance.
The Chinese New Year is an annual 15-day festival that begins with the new moon that occurs sometime between January 21 and February 20 according to Western calendars. Festivities last until the following full moon. Chinese New Year occurred on Friday, February 12, 2021, the day of the new moon.
Celebrations to usher out the old year and bring forth the luck and prosperity of the new one. Young people are given money in colorful red envelopes. In addition, Chinese New Year is a time to feast and to visit family members.
Among other Chinese New Year traditions is the thorough cleaning of one’s home to rid the resident of any lingering bad luck. Some people prepare and enjoy special foods on certain days during the celebrations. Since the dragon is a Chinese symbol of good fortune, a dragon dance highlights festival celebrations in many areas. This procession involves a long, colorful dragon being carried through the streets by numerous dancers.
